I have never written a bad review for a place but the service here was so disappointing that I felt like I needed to. When my boyfriend and I walked in to this place there was no one in the front, and once someone did come out to the front, they didn’t welcome us or even acknowledge us at all, then immediately went back until our orders were sent through. This was frustrating as we had questions about some items on the menu that we had never heard of before. As someone who has worked in food service for years I understand having a long day, but we came in hours before close and they didn’t even do the bare minimum to make us feel welcomed. Not only that, but the food quality was poor. Making a “no ice” option nearly a whole dollar of an up-charge is insanely baffling to me. I hate having a watered down drink and I don’t care if having no ice means my drink will look less full because of the lack of ice. Even if people are ordering no ice for the extra sip, who cares!? Just don’t fill it as high if it’s really that big of a deal for this establishment. Any up-charge for someone not wanting ice is just absurd. Finally, when we received our drinks, mine had a good amount of boba in it

Been coming here for 4 years. Would love new items like authentic matcha and Thai tea. Also I don’t like that the milk tea drinks are pre-mixed instead of freshly mixed. This method makes the drink taste not fresh and slimy. Great place for introvert to work at but would recommend some friendly conversations to make customers feel seen and part of the Taiyaki Sweet family. The two brothers who work there are a good example of this. I’m happy to see the K-pop music videos and music back on. The kitchen could use a revamped or be moved to the back so customers don’t see the mess when making the taiyaki sweets. I hope one day you guys will replace the benches to small cafe tables so people can linger in the place, longer. It will be great for dates, studying or working remotely.

In town for my son’s summer camp and stopped by. Kids loved the boba (get the ice) and the Nutella taiyaki and mint chip ice cream were legit. Customer service was solid and ordering was easy with kiosks.

I think this place has a lot of potential, but the customer service is extremely lacking. The atmosphere inside is dead, no music, the employees don’t care if you live or die, and the entire appearance is ramshackle. Needs a revamp both aesthetically and culturally. I have high hopes!

What an awesome place for a sweet treat! My son goes here weekly, as he is the true boba tea lover in the family and they have amazing flavor options. The true reason to go here though is definitely the taiyaki. It is delicious - not super sweet, and again, perfect flavor options. They also have ice cream and sorbet...it is an all around great edition to the Fry Street eats.
